WHO AM I?

My name is Alessandra Plichero and I’m a crisis communications expert and PR strategist.

I was born in Palmanova in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region in the North East of Italy and am based between the UK and the North East of Italy, Vicenza. My native language is Italian and I’m also fluent in English, Spanish and French.

I grew up in the Veneto Region, one of the richest areas of Italy, well-known for its entrepreneurial spirit and great industries including jewellery, textiles, leather, mechanical and fashion.

I graduated in Padua in Political Science and Economics in 1995 and began working in PR and with communication agencies where I was able to combine my two passions of economics and communications. Over these 6 years, I moved towards specialising in crisis communication.

I had always wanted my own business so in 2001 I founded my own PR and communications agency, BPR. This grew successfully and I secured several high-level clients over the years that I still work with today.

In 2012, I moved my business to the UK to expand the international prospects for the business.

This enabled me to establish a dynamic network, build strong working relationships with the UK based international trade magazines and create new industry contacts to expand the business and harness further training and teaching opportunities.

Two years later, in 2014, I got married and in 2016 my daughter, Nina, was born.

The main value for my consultancy lies in building trust with every individual client and taking an empathetic approach to creating bespoke, powerful and effective communication messages.

Another of my values is growth and this aligns with my own work ethics around my continued professional development in order to provide the best service possible to my clients by keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in the PR and communications industry, especially in technology.

I’m passionate about growth and creativity and enjoy the way entrepreneurial spirit translates into successful, global business and my mission is to support these innovative companies by providing excellent PR, reputational management strategy and crisis communication.

I’m a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and committee member of the International Group. I hold an MBA, a degree in economics and I attended the London School of Journalism. I have academic teaching experience as a guest lecturer in international universities.

When I’m not wearing my PR hat, I enjoy many other things including a passion for contemporary art and enjoy dancing, especially the tango. I’m also a keen reader of fiction and my go-to for health and fitness is running.
